Marriage in Hindu tradition is a sacred bond between two persons sanctified in the presence and blessings of elders. Arranged marriages have been the tradition in Indian society for centuries. Even today an overwhelming majority of Indians have their marriages planned by their parents and other respected family-members.
Traditionally, parents sought prospective match for their son/daughter from their own community through word of mouth. Due to the urbanization and reduced social contacts parents are finding it difficult to get a suitable match for their children. To address this, Sri Suttur Math has established JSS Marriage Bureau in Mysuru.
JSS Marriage Bureau was established by Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Mutt, which is a prominent Veera Shaiva Mutt in Karnataka. For more than a decade, Mutt has been instrumental in promoting education, healthcare, rural and cultural development. Sri Math’s activities have spread far and wide in India and abroad-through an impressive list of educational institutions, free boarding hostels, medical and healthcare units, literary and cultural centers, agricultural research facilities, etc. The Math strives for the overall development of human society through the means of teaching and learning and inculcating spiritual values and aiding economic upliftment.
JSS Marriage Bureau is facilitating parents to search a suitable partner to their children. The names and other details of the prospective bride and groom has to be registered with the office along with recent photographs. For more details contact the office at JSS Mahavidyapeetha premises, Mysuru.
