About JSS Matrimony

Hindu Dharma accords paramount importance to marriage between two persons found compatible, and on an auspicious day, chosen to be compatible with the bride and the groom, with the blessings of the elders and in the presence of gods, so that the couple will flourish and walk in dharma, and any progeny conceived after such elaborate rituals would be a blessed soul and good human being.

Arranged marriages have been the tradition in Indian society for centuries. Even today an overwhelming majority of Indians in India have their marriages planned by their parents and other respected family-members . Arranged matches are made after taking into account factors such as age, height, personal values and tastes, the backgrounds of their families (wealth, social standing )and their castes and astrological compatibility of the couples’ horoscopes.

Traditionally, parents look for a prospective match for their son/daughter from their own community through word of mouth. Due to the urbanization and reduced social contacts parents are finding it difficult to get a suitable match for their children. To help them Sri Suttur Math has established JSS Marriage Bureau in Mysore at the JSS Mahavidyapeetha office premises.

Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Math Suttur is a prominent Veerashaiva Math in Karnataka. It is making efforts for more then several decades to promote education, human values present in our culture and traditions. It is also working hard to meet the requirements of the common man in society. Suttur math activities have spread far and wide in India and abroad-through an impressive list of educational institutions, free boarding hostels, medical and healthcare units, literary and cultural centers, agricultural research facilities, etc. the Math strives for the overall development of human society through the means of teaching and learning and inculcating spiritual values and aiding economic upliftment.
